Flexural performance of precast concrete insulated wall panels with various configurations of ductile shear ties

This paper presents an experimental evaluation of the flexural response non-load bearing precast concrete insulated partially-composite wall panels fabricated with varying layouts ductile shear ties. The out-of-plane, one-way, single span load-displacement relationship is obtained for each panel via pseudo-static testing using a water bladder apparatus. Panel specimens constructed several tie are examined potential improvements in performance relative to current construction methods. influence pattern, insulation type, and concrete-insulation interface examined. Results indicate that placement additional ties regions higher demands can enhance overall capacity ductility panel. Test results show good agreement numerical predictions both deflection ductility. deformation histories including full deflected shapes used develop deformation-dependent load-mass transformation factors blast-resistant design dynamic analysis.
